I know this has been asked a couple of times... even by me.. But why isn´t there more directors commentary coming up... i get that making a new survivorman episode would cost a lot but Les sitting down on a couch for an hour can´t be that costly... I really hope there will be more coming besides the ep of 24hrs.. i love the guy and would be a shame if this page died out completely... opinions?
a shame really... i know he´s not asking for much, but neither are we.. one commentary per month... oh well.. can´t force the guy
Les did say any new content would be at his discretion. He has seemed busy lately from his twitter feed. I'm in complete agreement though. Fans have even offered to edit the directors commentaries for free as there is not much work involved.
I really hope that Les does continue to do more. I would happily have paid the subscription cost for one of those a month alone. Plus they can be used for content if anyone were to purchase the rights to use his content on their service, or Les could release special editions of his series "With Directors Commentary" added in.
the fact we don´t even get an answer, reflects the respect les has for his fans... i used to think the world of him, but if the site is dead, shut it down all together... i´m sorry if i sound salty or anything, but... i think we deserve at least something in return
Les is a busy man, he has many areas he can focus on and with this one not producing he has chosen to focus attention elsewhere where the money is. Les has to make a living too, he wasn't earning millions of dollars per episode for Survivorman and then sank half a million into this website.
Yes it would be nice to get more simple commentaries once in a while but try not to get angry if it doesn't happen, don't turn that into thinking Les is disrespectful to those that paid their money as that is effectively putting words into Les' mouth. Les left a video explaining the situation so he didn't just abandon everyone, he said his piece and moved on.
Les abandoning his fans?? Totally inaccurate. I have seen him perform in a small town to a handful of people. And this is after the big label contract and the release of his new studio recorded CD. The concert was fantastic! He and his band performed as though it was to a crowd of several thousand. I have seen him in concert 4 times and each time he has been the same Les. Always down to earth, humble, friendly. Takes time to visit with fans, shake hands, give hugs, sign autographs, answer questions.
I highly recommend people take the time to get to know Les Stroud the musician/songwriter. This is from a die hard Survivorman fan.
